Custom Dye Sublimation for Jerseys, T-Shirts, Hoodies, and Polo Shirts
Dye Sub 101
There are two ways to have your apparel customized using the dye sub process. The first one, which is the most economical and fastest option, is call “spot” dye sub. With this process we start with a completed 100% polyester garment and “transfer” the print location one at at time. A typical order would be a team name/design on the front and player names and/or numbers on the back of white athletic uniforms. This process is usually done on white, however, white isn’t required. As long as the design is darker than the fabric, it can be dye subbed, For example, you can start with an Athletic Gold colored jersey and dye sub black on to it.
The “SPOT” option is $8 per location plus the price of the blank garment. If the printed location requires a personalized player name/or number the price is $15 for that location. Maximum dye spot print locations are 13″ x 15″.
The second dye sub process is a process called “cut and sew”. With this process a bolt of fabric is dye subbed with your customized colors and designs, which is then cut out and sewed into a completed garment. The most economical ways to accomplish this option is to use our designer tool and select from ready made template options.
